The Katathani Celebrates World Environment Day

Marking World Environment Day 2009 on June 5th, guests, residents from the community, schoolchildren, and a large portion of staff members were all on hand to pitch-in and get the job done. Activities included a beach clean-up, planting 100 tropical trees on the beach, planting 200 trees around the property, planting 5,000 flowering foliage plants along the beach, and an extensive clean-up of the roads and drainage around Kata Noi.

Phuket Governer Wichai Phraisa-ngop arrived to formally open the proceedings and officially plant a few trees on the beach. Accompanied by owner / C.E.O. Sombat Atiset, the governor and all participants joined in a luncheon at Chom Talay Restaurant, complete with a variety of shows from the Katathani team.
